Silence is golden! Keep in mind that there will be others in the room with you receiving treatments. Please turn your cellphones off when entering the clinic and be respectful of those around you who have come to relax and renew as you have.

We Treat in a Community Setting
We believe a group setting has many benefits: it’s easier for friends and family to come in together. The healing atmosphere is enhanced through our group intention. This kind of collective stillness is powerful. It’s a rare and valuable thing in our rushed society.
The community setting at Beaverton Community Acupuncture (BCA) is unique for many reasons. Some of the more tangible reasons are; most Community Acupuncture typically only offers chair treatments. At BCA we offer both chairs and tables (first come, first served) allowing for more flexibility in treatment. We also include aromatherapy and salt crystal lamps. Additionally, we have a few TDP lamps available and for an additional fee, $5, you can have the TDP lamp on your affected area.
What we treat:
While most people come to acupuncture for pain management it is also effective for so much more. Want to learn more? Click here for more information
What to expect:
Patients often experience relief after the first treatment. Your relief may be immediate, delayed for a few hours or develop after 1 to 3 days. Acupuncture has a cumulative effect and best when done frequently and regularly for sustained relief. Your acupuncturist will suggest a course of treatment based on the intensity and duration of your health concern and your Chinese medicine diagnosis.
Often people do not feel the insertion of the needles. However, it is not uncommon to feel some sensation warm, tingly or dull achy. If anything is uncomfortable please speak up we can adjust or remove a needle.
Once the needles are inserted we encourage you to rest, meditate, pray or allow your mind to go to a happy place. People typically rest about a half an hour or so. Occasionally, the body wants a longer rest. If you have somewhere you need to be please let us know so that we can pull needles with plenty of time. Most appointments are about an hour.
